BLANCO Canada currently has a Material Handler position opening in our manufacturing facility. Position is full-time (40 hours per week) with potential for permanent placement in a unionized environment with a competitive base wage starting at $23.44/hour. Position available on Day Shift (7am - 3pm)
- Ensure that equipment being used is inspected, and in safe working condition, as per equipment inspection procedure, and report any issues immediately to supervisor.
- Check and ensure that all the dock doors are working in a safe manner. Report to the supervisor if there are any problems found with the dock doors.
- Set-aside materials in their appropriate and designated locations.
- Keep the warehouse aisle and general warehouse area clean, shined and well organized. Check and make sure that the products are stored in their appropriate area; ensure that no mixed skids of materials are stored in designated areas.
- Ensure that there are no items inside the warehouse that does not belong to the warehouse. Ensure all of the materials are stored in their respective locations.
- Ensure that the feeding zone (roller conveyors) have sufficient stock of sinks for routering and packaging as per production schedule and/or supervisor directive.
- Transport all supplies (raw material, rails, production supplies, skids, etc.) as per plan and/or as directed by supervisor; keep ready and staged in the designated location.
- Verify that Internal EPS Rails used to store sinks are in good condition.
- Ensure that there is sufficient stock of material, and notify supervisor immediately of any insufficiencies.
- Ensure that stacking rails and internal skids from packaging are transported back to moulding area.
- Ensure all garbage in the plant (including molding, router and packaging waste) are disposed of in a timely manner.
- Must be proficient and fully qualified to operate Counterbalance Forklift Truck and Reach Truck
- Ability to work safely in fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision but under the direction of the Production Supervisor
- Must be able to lift up to 60lbs occasionally
- Good communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail required for this position
- Experience using SAP is an asset
