Material Handler/Forklift Operator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move products and materials throughout the facility. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with field staff.

Duties

- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.

- Move products within the warehouse, ensuring proper placement in designated areas.

- Perform inventory checks and assist in maintaining accurate stock levels.

- Collaborate with management to optimize workflow and address any operational issues.

- Conduct routine inspections of equipment.

- Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are utilized.

- Participate in training sessions for new equipment or procedures as needed.

- Organize materials, equipment, and shop.

- Maintain yard.

Skills

- Proficient in operating forklifts and order pickers with a strong understanding of warehouse operations.

- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively.

- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.

- Knowledge of OSHA standards related to warehouse safety practices.

- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.

- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is an advantage but not mandatory.

- Class A CDL is an advantage but not mandatory.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
