MASTER ELECTRICIAN

JOB SUMMARY

This position requires a highly-skilled and experienced professional who is responsible for the installation and repair of electrical systems and components. The Master Electrician tests, troubleshoots and replaces electrical components to ensure systems function safely and efficiently. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

- Coordinate installation, repair and service of electric and electronic components.

- Provide the highest level of customer service.

- Train and supervise journeymen and apprentices on your team.

- Install, maintain and repair existing equipment.

- Inspect electrical equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions and determine repairs needed.

- Identify materials and quantities needed for new and repair projects.

- Evaluate and estimate the cost of electrical work.

- Diagnose complex electrical issues and implement solutions.

- Coordinate with departments to ensure the right materials and equipment are available when needed.

- Follow established processes and procedures.

- Follow all safety guidelines related to operating and maintenance of high-voltage equipment.

- Lead projects and oversee the work of other electricians.

- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

- Other duties related to position, as assigned by supervisor.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- A state or local Master Electrician certification for NC and TN.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong understanding of electrical safety standards.

- Strong understanding of circuit design and analysis.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong leadership and management skills.

- Proficient in using electrical test equipment and tools.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical diagrams.

- Experience in a similar industry is a plus.

- Experience with project management and leading a team.

- Experience with industrial electrical systems is a plus.

- Experience with power systems is a plus.

- Experience with PLC programming is a plus.

- Experience with power tools and other construction equipment.
