E Source is seeking a strategic, commercially grounded
Marketing Leadto own and drive the marketing strategy for our Grid Solutions Group, one of our core Market Units (MUs). This is a senior-level, high-impact role functioning as the
head of marketing for the business unit, focused on bringing the MU’s business strategy to life through targeted, measurable marketing plans.
You’ll work closely with the MU leader and leadership team to define marketing priorities and develop the integrated marketing strategy for the business unit that supports the broader MU business goals. This includes building the annual and quarterly marketing plan—covering campaign priorities, content themes, sales enablement needs, and key performance metrics. You will coordinate execution through shared services, ensuring alignment and accountability across teams.
This is not an order-taker or execution-on-demand role. It requires strategic thinking, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to lead through influence across a matrixed organization.

How You’ll Help Strategy, Planning, and Leadership
- Serve as the strategic marketing lead for the assigned Market Unit.
- Help inform the MU business strategy and then define and maintain the corresponding MU marketing strategy and plan in partnership with the MU leadership team.
- Develop integrated marketing plans aligned to business goals, including:
- Demand generation priorities and campaigns
- Content strategy and key themes
- Customer communications approach
- Sales enablement support
- Success metrics and reporting cadence
- Represent the MU within the overall Marketing Leadership Team (MLT) and the MU Leadership Team (MU-LT).
- Act as the primary liaison between the Market Unit and the broader marketing organization.
- Work collaboratively with the other MU Marketing Leads on innovation ideas, shared best practices, and cross-MU marketing activations.
- Lead through influence, ensuring that shared services teams are coordinated against MU priorities without direct management authority.
- Coordinate with shared services teams (channel, events, creative, content, and martech) to bring MU marketing plans to life.
- Ensure programs are launched on time, brand-aligned, and targeted to the right audiences.
- Monitor and report on campaign and program performance, adjusting plans based on data and feedback.
- A focused and actionable MU marketing strategy aligned to commercial goals.
- Clarity and alignment across campaign and content priorities, timelines, and metrics.
- Measurable lift in pipeline contribution, customer engagement, and market visibility.
- Strong internal partnerships and shared execution with Corporate and Growth Marketing teams.
- A respected voice within both the MLT and the MU leadership structure.What Will Make You a Great Fit
- 10+ years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, ideally in sectors like utilities, SaaS, data and analytics, professional services, or consulting. - 5+ years of experience in business unit, divisional, or vertical marketing leadership roles.
- Proven success building and implementing strategic marketing plans that drive measurable growth.
- Deep understanding of integrated campaign planning, demand generation, content strategy, and sales enablement.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in a matrixed environment, especially when managing across shared services teams.
- Executive-level communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships across leadership and delivery teams.
- Comfortable balancing big-picture strategic thinking with the detail orientation needed to ensure accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

- $160,000 – 250,000 USD + annual bonus.
Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
This role will be 100% remote, with minimal travel.
