Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented
Marketing
Content Specialist
with 2+ years of experience to join our growing marketing team in the
retail energy
. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in content creation and social media management and is eager to grow in the areas of
brand development
and
strategic communication
. You will develop and execute content that engages key audiences throughout the customer journey. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure content aligns with brand strategy, campaign goals, and business objectives.
This role will be responsible for managing the
social media content calendar
, developing and executing
marketing emails
,
surveys
,
web page content
,
blogs
and supporting broader brand and communications initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media:
•Develop, schedule, and manage social media content across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and NextDoor.
•Monitor engagement and trends to optimize content strategy
Content Creation & Management:
•Write and design marketing emails, newsletters, customer surveys, web page content and blogs
•Maintain and update content calendars
•Draft copy and design collateral aligned with brand voice and visual identity
Brand Support:
•Collaborate with external agencies and internal stakeholders to support brand guideline development and implementation
•Contribute to creating and maintaining brand assets and templates (PDFs, presentations, etc.)
Design & Digital Tools:
•Create visual content using
Canva
and basic
Adobe Creative Suite
(Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat)
•Build or edit basic HTML documents for email and landing pages
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Design, or a related field
•2+ years of experience in a content or digital marketing role, preferably in B2C or energy/utilities
•Strong writing and proofreading skills with an ability to adapt tone and style
•Portfolio showcasing content writing and design work (required)
•Proficient with Canva and basic Adobe design tools
•Comfortable working cross-functionally and communicating with senior leadership and external agencies
•Interest in branding and visual identity is a plus
•Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, Salesforce) and CMS platforms is a bonus
