Manufacturing Quality Specialist

We are a 70-person leading aerospace, military, and microchip machining company seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Specialist for 1st Shift.

ROLE SUMMARY

This team-oriented role partners with quality members, programming, manufacturing, and engineering teams to address and resolve unique and challenging problems including the development of manufacturing quality plans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Conduct full open-setup inspection of parts and roaming inspections of in-process machined parts throughout the facility.

· Execute first article/PPAP inspections and associated documentation.

· Set up, calibrate, and perform R&R studies on gages.

· Identify non-conforming parts and collaborate with machinists to determine the root cause of defects.

· Develop work instructions and directly train machinists and quality technicians on best practices.

· Execute accurate and timely first-piece inspections

· Balloon prints and create dimensional records AS9102 first articles and critical dimension reports.

· Demonstrate knowledge of ISO-9001 and AS9100 quality management systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum of 4 years in a manufacturing quality systems role

· Proficiency in GD&T, blueprint interpretation, layout inspection, and various inspection gauges methods and technologies.

· Knowledge of CMM operation

· Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Physical ability to bend, kneel, reach, walk, stand, and sit for extended periods..
