Visser Precision is a dynamic and innovative leader in advanced manufacturing, committed to solving some of the world’s toughest engineering challenges. We serve the aerospace and defense sectors with high-mix, mission-critical precision parts.
We offer a high-performance, collaborative work environment where excellence, growth, and ownership are encouraged. Our team is driven by a shared vision of operational excellence and continuous improvement and we’re looking for someone who shares that mindset.
Do you have aerospace manufacturing experience and a passion for building world-class products? Are you energized by process clarity, attention to detail, and helping teams move faster with fewer barriers?
We’re seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer to join our team in Denver, CO. This role is focused on manufacturing readiness, ensuring jobs are fully prepared for execution before hitting the floor. You’ll work hands-on with the production team, coordinate raw materials and outside processing, and maintain clean, accurate data in our ERP system (ProShop).
This is not a design role, procurement role, or traditional project management. It’s a fast-paced, execution-focused planning role that removes barriers, enables flow, and teams aligned.
This role is ideal for someone who is high-energy, detail-oriented, results-driven, and thrives on getting things done. Success in this role requires a sharp eye for detail, proactive communication, and a strong sense of ownership.
Every work order includes complete and accurate routings, BOMs, traveler notes, and work instructions; no gaps or ambiguity.
Data reflects real-world setups. You proactively identify and correct errors that could cause rework or confusion.
Coordinate raw material quoting. Raw materials are quoted early, tracked diligently, and hardware (helicoils, dowels, etc.) is sourced and confirmed well before job start.
Coordinate plating, heat treat, and other processes with job timelines. Monitor vendor lead times to avoid idle WIP.
You audit WOs to ensure everything is in order and nothing holds up the next step: tools, notes, and materials are ready for smooth handoffs.
You treat ProShop as your home base ensuring routings, BOMs, and operations are up to date and aligned with production reality. While external trackers should be used to support planning, your priority is maintaining clean, reliable ERP data as the single source of truth.
You work proactively with machinists and shop leads to resolve blockers upstream and set jobs up for success.
You help identify inefficiencies and lead practical, incremental improvements in flow, organization, and visual management.
You partner with operations leadership to schedule jobs in sync with capacity and lead time realities, flagging constraints early.
