SUMMARY: Relevant Power Solutions (RPS) is a diversified power company with extensive experience with packaging aero-derivative gas turbines. At our manufacturing facility in Houston, we design, build, and test gas turbine packages for use in the power generation and gas compression markets. In addition to packaging, we also provide Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services, integrating gas turbine packages with Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment, to provide a turnkey power plant solution. We are seeking a Project Engineer to join the RPS team and make an immediate impact and play a crucial role in both packaging and EPC projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Interfaces with customer to review project status
+ Schedules and runs weekly meetings on the project (internal and external)
+ Responsible for project execution metrics in support of the weekly project meeting
+ Responsible for creating project status reports
+ Manage the project evolution and growth
+ Champion of the lessons learned process
+ Provides feedback on project costs
+ Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management to meet the project goals.
+ Coordinates the engineering activities on the project.
+ Works with internal engineering resources
+ Manages external engineering resources
+ Produces drawings/specifications for project
+ Involved in the drawing review/approval process
+ Maintains project drawing list
+ Manages drawing submittals for project. This includes internal drawing submittals, and submittals to the customer.
+ Review designs with an emphasis
on: lower cost, design integrity, and compliance with applicable codes and standards
+ Able to perform material takeoffs
+ Involved in estimating project
+ Involved in quoting equipment/materials for the project
+ Review and approve vendor submittal material, drawings, manuals, etc.
+ Assists the site with installation
+ Manages the RFI process from the field
+ Monitor testing and assist team with start-up issues.
+ Approves and documents redlines from the field
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical is preferred)
•Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Outlook, AutoCAD, or similar software.
•Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills.
•Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
•Knowledge of program management and engineering processes.
•Direct experience with gas turbines or other turbomachinery is preferred.
•Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
