Position Summary

Directly oversees the management of energy efficiency products, programs and services across the regulated Florida service area. Normal responsibilities include directly overseeing the planning and implementation of commercial and residential demand side management (DSM) objectives, including a technical staff of certified residential energy advisors, licensed program inspectors, certified energy rates, and certified energy managers. This position provides leadership, management, supervision and guidance to a team of employees that typically has < 75 employees. This position is accountable for a budget of < $30M.

Responsibilities Regional Program Management Leadership

- Develop, communicate and execute long-term/ annual product plans, market and segment plans to deliver energy and demand savings goals. Deliver plans within ECCR budget and audit governance. Lead internal teams to achieve annual goals.

- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders and external stakeholders (i.e., customers, regulators and vendors) to create alliances and execute successful customer initiatives.

- Actively engage with partners in development of future ECCR budgets, including appropriate mix and expectations of products.

Regional Energy Efficiency Services Organization Leadership

- Establish organizational guidelines on how the team and individuals interact, collaborate, and resolve conflicts in a manner that creates a productive and respectful environment.

- Provide tactical directions to the team that will meet customer satisfaction and regulatory objectives for product, program & service portfolio.

- Collaborate with internal partners to develop timely and relevant Price / Value / Efficiency campaigns and communications priorities. Establish plans, set objectives, measure and analyze performance, and demonstrate influence on customer satisfaction.

- Continually review work processes within the portfolio and take action for improvement.

Direct development of performance goals and tracking systems to monitor portfolio analytics, customer satisfaction and earnings growth goals.

- Customer Satisfaction: Develop, communicate, execute and adjust market plans to achieve at least top quartile satisfaction targets.

R

epresent Duke and program promotion externally in Florida public forums, workshops, state regulatory collaboratives, industry forums, etc.

- Program Awareness: Evaluate opportunities and execute public relations and promotional initiatives to increase regional Duke Energy brand awareness and customer advocacy

- Serves as Duke Energy representative on industry local, regional and national boards and forums

- Form strategic partnerships with regional industry groups, community leaders and product vendors to support development and demonstration of products and services.

- Maintain awareness of legislative, regulatory activities, codes and standards.

Stay current with corporate strategies and investments

- Maintain in-depth knowledge of operating company strategies and business plans, along with regulatory requirements of each state.

- Use new technical platforms for product and service offerings where feasible.

Basic Requirements

- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business administration or other related degree plus 5yrs of related experience.

- In lieu of degree; Highschool Diploma/GED plus 12yrs of related experience.

- Demonstrated ability in product development, product management or market management.

- Working knowledge of competitive marketplace

- Broad utility company knowledge and operational experience – ten or more years – in the following disciplines: customer account management, utility operations, customer service, marketing, governmental relations and/or economic development

- Ability to effectively handle highly stressful situations

- Sales, marketing and/or customer service relationship experience within industry.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office software tools.

- Demonstrated ability to learn new systems.

Working Conditions

- Sedentary work exerting negligible amount of force frequently or constantly and/or up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body, involves sitting most of the time at a computer, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time, long periods of conversing on a telephone

- Good visual acuity and hearing

- Occasional evening and weekend work hours

- Travel to other work locations and may include overnight stay.

- Hybrid – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable commute to their designated Duke Energy facility.
