Responsibilities
The Manager of Operations & Maintenance Planning (Business Processes) oversees the information technology (IT), business functions and technical training of the Operation & Maintenance Department and management of 10 employees including one staff embedded in the Information Systems Department. In this capacity, the manager is responsible for the following:
•Implementing Information Technology – works with employees to determine software needs, manages selection of software including contracting management of vendors, develops implementation and staff training plans, manages cut over to and troubleshooting of new systems.
•Implementing Business Process Improvement Projects – works with staff and managers to learn job functions, informational needs and role of supporting software (ie, workflow), works with software applications to improve efficiency and value of information (data), works with other managers and staff to modify workflow and/or software accordingly.
•Directs the work of IT staff supporting SCADA and operational technology systems.
•General Business Support – provides analysis, training, user support, and administrative oversight for multiple work management systems.
•Acts as Department lead for hardware or software needs and requests
•Operating Procedures – develops and maintains standard operating procedures to support the Department.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following
•Management experience with implementing new software systems for a large workforce
•Experience as a collaborative leader to effectively coordinate multiple stakeholders and interdisciplinary work groups.
•Background knowledge of best practices in operation and maintenance systems and experience working with people to identify and apply best practices, new perspectives, and solutions to current and future challenges.
•Experience with a variety of work management systems.
•Experience implementing information technology and business improvement projects.
•Exceptional interpersonal, writing and technical skills.
The annual salary is $171,180 up to $259,632. Initial placement within the range is based upon qualifications. Appointment is typically made at or below the control point ($222,540 per year).
