The Manager, Investor Relations will be located in our Calgary office and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The position will be focused on building a leading Investor Relations function to support the business as it continues to execute on its corporate and growth strategies. The Manager will participate in a very dynamic, collaborative, and growing function within the business and will be a primary conduit between Rockpoint and the investment community.
This includes executing investor communication strategies, engaging with capital market participants, compiling market intelligence, preparing public disclosures, and creating marketing and investor materials, all while ensuring high quality and consistency in message delivery.
· As a primary spokesperson, support the communication of Rockpoint’s key business strategies and performance to the investment community, including institutional /retail investors, research analysts, and other key stakeholders
· Develop and maintain corporate marketing materials such as investor presentations and fact sheets, as well as website and conference call disclosure
· Draft news releases and supporting disclosure, including investor Q&A documents
· Gather and review disclosure support for investor materials in conjunction with other business groups
· Monitor and report on research analyst investment ratings, target prices, earnings estimates and various other financial and operating metrics
· Conduct peer market and trading analysis for the board and senior management
· Oversee marketing initiatives, including logistics and materials
· Provide existing and prospective investor intelligence, including tracking investor relations activity and engagement
· Support other various investor relations initiatives as required
· Minimum of ten years of related Investor Relations experience, with a demonstrated financial and investor-facing acumen
· An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or other relevant degree
· Preference will be given to candidates with or pursuing a MBA, CFA, or accounting designation
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to confidently interact with all levels of management and external investment professionals
· Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proven ability to multi-task, prioritize and effectively execute on multiple competing tasks and demands
· Highly collaborative, approachable and communicative; an independent thinker with a very high level of integrity and professionalism
· Hands-on performer who can both prepare and critically evaluate high-value information
· Possesses a creative mindset, capable of developing new business and marketing ideas
· A self-motivated hard worker who has the ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines in an environment with a high volume of activity
· Adept at handling sensitive information and issues with professionalism and care
· High attention to detail, organized and thorough, with a desire for continuous improvement
