The Aluminum Insights Maintenance Technician is a front line team member of Aluminum Insight’s Total Productive Maintenance, TPM, system. The maintenance technician’s responsibilities include daily maintenance of facility and equipment, inspections, and making recommendations to enhance equipment performance, maintenance, and design. Emphasis is on continuously improving equipment performance through zero accidents, zero downtime, and zero defects.
Ø Essential Duties
Work as part of a maintenance team keeping the facility and all the equipment running continuously, while following all LOTO and other OSHA safety requirements in practice.
Critical thinking, reasoning, and logic will be required to identify solutions to potential problems and working with maintenance staff and engineering.
Maintenance activities on the facility such as electrical, plumbing, gas, compressed air, heat, carpentry, and grounds upkeep.
Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment as required or scheduled.
Inspect, test and operate machines to maintain functionality, to ensure continuous production.
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems and determine best methods to correct.
Troubleshoot the root cause of the machine breakdown and best preventive methods.
Dismantle equipment to identify, remove, repair, or replace broken and or worn parts.
Assemble equipment to operating standards with the required tools and equipment.
Read technical information to be able to perform duties.
Determine what tools will need to be used before starting a project.
Requisition parts, equipment, supplies or specialty tools needed for repairs.
Accurately read measuring devices, tape measure, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators.
Computer literacy in Microsoft outlook, word, excel to fill out information in CMMS program.
Will be required to be call one weekend per month.
Continuous improvement through further training.
Ø Three years of experience in an industrial maintenance position.
Ø Operate and read all essential measuring devices.
Ø Understand and practice OSHA and LOTO (lock Out/ Tag Out) safety practices.
Ø Must be on call once a month.
Ø Read schematics single phase and three phase, trouble shoot PLC and VFD.
Troubleshoot electronic motors, motor controls, electronic assemblies, panels and boards.
Ø Read blueprints and drawings to build and fabricate peripheral support equipment.
