The overall repair and maintenance of all equipment and the building facility, working in conjunction with department supervisors to ensure their needs are met.
To maintain equipment running in a safe and good operating condition.
Also assist with tooling maintenance and repair needs when needed.
· Must be able to read measuring devices (tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc.)
· Must maintain tools required to do the job.
· Maintain certain spare parts for equipment and order when needed.
· Maintain bi-weekly p.m. service on equipment and turn in on a monthly-basis written records to safety manager.
· Must be able to do basic electrical work.
· Schedule outside compressor service for bi-monthly p.m. service on compressors.
· Must have basic knowledge of equipment operation.
· Must maintain maintenance department clean and organized
· Know how to operate surface grinder, milling machine, radial drill, lathe, and know how to drive a forklift and scissors lift
· Work with suppliers on equipment repair needs.
· Must be able to drive company pick-up (maintain driver’s license privilege)
· Must have manual dexterity in both hands.
· Must be able of bending and lifting 40-60 pounds.
· Must be able of visually reading prints, tape measures and gauges.
· Must be able to communicate with suppliers, supervisors and other management personnel.
· Must wear safety equipment at all times
· Must always work in a safe manner
· Must follow all safety rules and company procedures.
· Must maintain standards of appearance in work areas at all times.
· Must inform management of any problems you feel need attention regarding your ability to do your job.
