The primary duties of a Maintenance Technician include performing diagnostic tests on company vehicles to find faults, analyzing diagnostic test results and repairing or replacing engine, steering, transmission, braking or lighting system components.
- Repairs and preventive maintenance to be performed in conformance with established standards.
- Recognizes and corrects potential equipment failure or unsafe conditions and communicates this to Manager.
- Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.
- Ensures compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Technician must be able to work in a team oriented and safety conscious environment. “Safety First” expectations include, but are not limited to process, and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures.
- Responsible for proper/care/cleaning of tools, parts
- Perform machine shop work operating various machines such as drill presses, grinders, welders, plasma torches, cutting equipment, pneumatic tools and electric/manual hand tools,
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Aptitude for mathematics and science
- Diagnostic skills.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 150 pounds.
- Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
- Attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills
$22.00 - $28.00 based on experience and hazmat endorsement
