Maintenance Technician
Position Overview:
Kansas City Power & Light is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team at our facility in Kansas City, MO. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the on-site maintenance of all facilities located on site, as well as the ability to respond to service requests from tenants, internal venues, and multiple supervisors. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk throughout the Power and Light District on a daily basis.
Essential Functions:
•Responsible for the on-site maintenance of all facilities on site, including but not limited to: lights, locks, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, painting, flooring, and masonry.
•Ability to respond to emergency repairs after hours, weekends, and holidays.
•Respond to Asset Management/Work Order System via mobile phone/computer.
•Responsible for the maintenance of all vehicles on site.
•Responsible for the upkeep of all equipment including but not limited to: tools, vehicles and equipment.
•Responsible for the upkeep of the golf carts, trailer, and trucks.
•Ensure that all residents are informed about on site maintenance procedures.
•Ensure that all maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner.
•Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
•Assist in maintaining positive resident relations through positive communication.
•Maintain accurate service records and report on service needs to supervisor.
•Assist in maintaining clean and safe surroundings by following sanitation procedures and keeping property safe by following safety policies and procedures.
•Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
•High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
