Maintenance Technician

VersaTube is a leading producer of do-it-yourself steel building kits. From the personalized design of each building through assembling the structure with basic home tools, VersaTube provides a complete customer-empowering experience.

We are searching for a Maintenance Technician to join our rapidly growing company! This is an on-site position located in our Elkhart, Indiana Facility.

The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties such as installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

•

Install and maintain production machines and facility equipment

•

Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment

•

Keep CMMS updated daily

•

Perform technical duties such as mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines

•

Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders

•

Diagnose problems, replace/repair faulty parts, and test/adjust the repair

•

Perform regular preventive maintenance on production and facility machines and equipment

•

Perform plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions

•

Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to identify and repair issues

•

Report any faulty operations, defective material, and any unusual situations to leadership

•

Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas

Maintenance Technician Requirements:

•

High school diploma or equivalent

•

Advanced education in in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred

•

4+ years of manufacturing experience, including strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills

•

Steel manufacturing environment experience preferred

•

Willingness to follow all safety procedures

•

Ability to perform activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, crawling, crouching, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Employee must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbs as needed.

Willing to work varied hours as needed (Hours of work vary based on season but range from Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Must be available for night, weekend, or holiday work as needed.)
