Small aerospace foundry operation with over 60 years in business seeks an Industrial Maintenance Technician.
This is a working position that requires attention to detail and a desire to do it right the first time. Mechanical and electrical skills are important to the success of the prospective candidate. Previous experience with induction melting systems would be desirable. This position reports to the facility general manager.
Day-to-day duties include, but are not limited to:
· Troubleshooting: Performing basic diagnostic tests to identify minor issues
· Repairing: Disassembling equipment and replacing or repairing broken components
· Adjusting: Calibrating equipment and machinery to optimal specifications
· Maintaining equipment inventories: Checking stock and placing orders for parts and supplies
· Communicating: Providing information about mechanical maintenance to others
· Safety: Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
· Deliveries: Pick up & Deliver supplies from local suppliers
· Preventative Maintenance: Inspect & perform preventative maintenance on all equipment
· Manual dexterity: Being able to use tools and hands in a coordinated and skillful way. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
· Deductive reasoning: Being able to identify and isolate the root cause of a problem
· Creative problem-solving: Being able to work independently and resolve issues with machinery
· Communication: Being able to communicate effectively with co-workers, vendors, and management
