Universal Site Services currently has an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician in Brea, CA. Starting pay will be $23.00-$25.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Full time positions will be eligible for medical, dental, vision, sick leave, vacation and 401(k) plan.
This position requires a VALID CA DL. Position will require driving to various cities in SoCal to cover the needs of customers.
This position is responsible for property maintenance as well as repairs/improvements at multiple locations.
Duties Include:
Performs exterior cleaning duties at assigned job sites
Picks up debris from the parking lots and property grounds. Empties trash receptacles and sweeps sidewalks as needed. Cleans windowsills. Removes cobwebs and graffiti
Reports and documents issues/problems on job sites (illegal dumping, damaged fixtures, etc.)
Performs general exterior maintenance and repairs on property sites.
May perform power washing and/or sweep parking lots as needed.
Provides documentation of completed tasks. This includes before/after pictures, task descriptions, and receipts for materials purchased.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Must have reliable transportation and a good driving record.
A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
Must be detail oriented and be able to understand and follow instructions.
Must be willing and able to work outdoors to perform cleaning duties at work sites.
Applicants must be comfortable with heavy lifting. Other physical requirements include standing for long periods of time, carrying, use of hands and arms, ability to crouch, kneel, and crawl. Must be able to see, speak, hear, and smell. Must also be able to lift up to 50 pounds normally and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
Must have at least cursory knowledge of the following trades: painting, drywall hanging/texturing/repair, stucco/concrete patching, electrical, plumbing, concrete pouring and finishing, carpentry.
Must be willing to work on Holidays and weekends if needed.
Must also be able to communicate via cell phone and operate a cell phone in order to send photos and text messages to supervisor and to check in/out at sites as required.
