Job Overview:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and performing mechanical and electrical maintenance on new and existing equipment. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of production and facility systems by conducting preventative maintenance, addressing equipment issues, and supporting process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
•Perform daily maintenance tasks in both production and facility areas.
•Conduct preventive and planned maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
•Assist with the installation, startup, and documentation of new equipment.
•Work closely with engineers to implement corrective actions for recurring equipment issues.
•Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards by maintaining a clean and organized work area.
•Accurately document maintenance activities, regulatory records, and standard operating procedures.
•Perform equipment relocations, uncrating of parts, mechanical adjustments, alignments, and ordering of spare parts.
•Participate in projects, equipment upgrades, and process improvements.
•Adhere strictly to company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures.
•Perform additional duties as assigned.
•Qualifications & Requirements:
•High school diploma or GED required.
•Minimum of 2 years of experience in the maintenance field.
•Proficiency in electrical and mechanical maintenance, welding, and pipe fitting.
Education & Experience:
•High school diploma or GED required.
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in the maintenance field.
•Proficiency in electrical and mechanical maintenance, welding, and pipe fitting.
Skills & Abilities:
•Strong problem-solving abilities and teamwork skills.
•Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
•Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
Physical Demands:
•Ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds occasionally and 10 to 25 pounds frequently.
•Frequent use of hands, depth perception, and focus on close-range tasks.
•Occasional kneeling, crouching, stooping, and distinguishing colors.
Work Environment:
•Exposure to loud manufacturing environments.
•Frequent interaction with moving mechanical parts, oils, solvents, fumes, and gases.
•Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
