WestCorp Solutions is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support maintenance planning activities for a remote oil and gas facility in northern Alberta. This role focuses on developing detailed maintenance plans, supporting operational integrity, and coordinating closely with Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient execution of work.
Location: Rainbow Lake, Alberta Schedule: 14 days on, 14 days off, 11.43-hour days Initial Contract: 12 Months Estimated Start: January 2026 Travel: Flat-rate Monthly Allowance Accommodations: Coordinated with client at low-cost rate if required
- Coordinate maintenance planning activities across multiple disciplines including General Maintenance, Mechanical, and Instrumentation & Electrical.
- Develop detailed plans and task lists for routine and turnaround activities, ensuring alignment with operational priorities.
- Review, prioritize, and plan maintenance work in partnership with Operations, Maintenance Coordinators, and Senior Trades.
- Maintain and improve PM plans; develop new plans and refine existing ones as required.
- Support operational integrity programs and contribute to the sustainment of License to Operate requirements.
- Participate in weekly maintenance review meetings to discuss ongoing work, upcoming schedules, and emerging maintenance needs.
- Contribute to monthly cost reviews and annual budget development in collaboration with Maintenance and Operations stakeholders.
- Assist with turnaround planning and support planning of repetitive and non-routine tasks.
- Ensure all planning activities support safe execution and a zero-incident mindset.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support maintenance planning and operational needs.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance planning experience, including SAP and/or Prometheus.
- Strong understanding of maintenance strategies, planning processes, and work management practices.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft applications.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Current First Aid, H2S Alive, WHMIS, and TDG certifications.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Diploma in a maintenance-related discipline.
- Post-secondary education in engineering or a related technical field.
- Journeyman trade certification in a recognized oil and gas trade.
- Power Engineering (4th Class).
- Gas Process Operations / Production Field Operations certification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with maintenance standards, codes, pressure equipment, rotating equipment, instrumentation, electrical systems, and general oil and gas facility operations.
- Plant or production operations experience.
