As a fully integrated member of the team, the maintenance lead will have the opportunity to work closely with all members of our operations including maintenance, operations, production, and quality within a fast-paced aerospace company.
- Assist Engineering and Operations Managers with R&D and improvement projects
- Work sourcing outside contractors, obtaining bids, scheduling work, and assisting with projects
- Must lead by example and delegate work that is assigned to the department
- Must work with all maintenance personnel as a mentor for all aspects of the job
- Must show the highest level of leadership in all aspects of the job
- Will assist Management with departmental training, confined space, lockout tagout, etc.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to eliminate down time and ensure production goals
- Ability to assess mechanical/electrical repairs and perform repairs to get equipment back in service with minimal down-time, with limited supervision
- Must have basic skills using power/hand tools
- Forklift operation
- Knowledge of PLC’s, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Prefer previous experience troubleshooting systems
- Industrial furnace, boiler, and water treatment experience a plus
- Ability to follow directions and work as a team or individual
- Comply with OSHA safety rules
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Continued Education in the field of current work
- Industrial electrical experience
- Good, dependable attendance with ability to work overtime on short notice
- 3-5 years of experience performing mechanical maintenance activities
- Minimum 5 years of experience performing electrical maintenance activities
- Experience installing industrial equipment a plus
- Must be able to work safely around industrial equipment
- Forklift experience preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
