Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

- Maintain and repair all equipment within the yard.

- Change liners, belts, pulleys, electrical motors, bearings, gear boxes and other necessary equipment.

- Assist other maintenance and production personnel during scheduled repair projects.

- Operate mobile equipment as needed.

- Work in outdoor and indoor environments.

- Minor cleanup and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Flexible to work off hours and overtime.

- Minimum of 2 years previous maintenance experience preferred.

- Welding experience preferred.
