Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Person to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our warehouse and stores. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, along with leadership qualities to oversee maintenance activities effectively. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, efficiency, and customer service are prioritised.

Responsibilities

- Perform and/or plan routine and preventive maintenance on equipment and facility systems

- Troubleshoot and repair equipment when possible or assist specialists hired to do so.

- Will open yads using company loaders in winter.

- Conduct repairs and fabrications as needed to maintain equipment integrity

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory

- Adheres to safety protocols

- Collaborate with team to minimize downtime

- Assist with facilities maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, and general building repairs

- Will be asked to make some deliveries from time to time.

- Will assit in the maintenance of company vehicles.

- Helps maintain and keep warehouses clean and in order.

- Support our local sites in maintenance and repair.

Experience

- Supervising experience in a facilities maintenance setting is preferred

- Skilled in welding, electrical work, and mechanical repairs, a plus

- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, facilities maintenance, and safety standards

- Prior experience in maintenance is highly desirable

- Excellent communication skills in English and French for effective team coordination and documentation

- Class 3 permit a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
