Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Machining Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations within our machining department. This role is responsible for managing personnel, equipment, production schedules, quality control, and process improvement to ensure optimal efficiency, safety, and product quality.
The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of machining processes (CNC, manual, and specialty equipment), and a proven track record in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.
- Directly oversee machinists, setup operators, and related staff in daily operations.
- Provide clear direction, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Identify inefficiencies and lead process improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma).
- Evaluate new tooling, fixtures, and processes to increase productivity.- 5+ years in machining operations (CNC & manual) - 2+ years in a leadership role (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of tooling, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and scheduling.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Lean/5S/Six Sigma experience preferred.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential situations with professionalism, tact and diplomacy
- Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.

- Ensure quality conformance of parts cohesively with the Quality department.
- Willingness to take on additional operational duties and special projects to support evolving customer demands and production goals.
