Job Title: Machine Operator/ Blow Molder

Department: Blow Molding

Reports To: Supervisor

Job Summary: Bingham & Taylor is seeking a skilled Machine Operator/Blow Molder to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for using appropriate equipment to safely mold plastic parts to specifications as well as join plastic parts with other parts; both plastic and iron. All duties will be performed within safety, quality, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Reads, understands, and follows shop work order.

•

Change dies and plunger on blow molding machines according to production line changes.

•

Determine setup procedures and select machine dies and parts, according to specifications.

•

Properly set up heating oven temperature and measurements according to specifications.

•

Properly operate heating oven and Blow Molding equipment according to specifications.

•

Maintain an inventory of materials.

•

Measure and examine blow molded products in order to locate defects, and to check for conformance to specifications; adjust process as necessary to alter products.

•

When products vary from specifications inform supervisor for appropriate action.

•

Troubleshoot, maintain, and make minor adjustments to equipment.

•

Paint or dip parts per part and/or order specifications.

•

Operate nip and punch mechanisms to create nips and holes as well as join parts.

•

Operate shearing mechanisms to cut rods to specified lengths.

•

Move or lift heavy objects.

•

Maintain 5S in work areas and department.

•

Qualifications:

•

Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.

•

Prior manufacturing, warehousing or industrial experience preferred.

•

Demonstrated stable work history preferred.

•

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

•

Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.

Physical Requirements: This position may require frequent bending, lifting, and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Employees should be able to perform this duty with or without reasonable accommodations.
