The Low Voltage Wiring Foreman will be responsible for overseeing and managing new construction and remodel LV wiring infrastructure and trim finish installations.
· Provide instructions and assistance to team daily.
· Approve Timesheets for team on a weekly basis.
· Implement performance improvement plans, coaching and disciplinary action as needed.
The principal responsibilities of the LV Wiring Foreman shall consist of, but are not limited to the following:
· Know proper way of drilling through beams and studs in a new construction setting.
· Communicate with onsite superintendent or point of contact for the contractor.
· Provide clear instructions to the team daily.
· Communicate any concerns or developments to supervisors.
· Submit a detailed project update daily to supervisors to inform them of progress and any additional materials required to complete scope.
· Provide guidance and assistance to team members. Teach them the proper way of installation.
· Comply with all company policies, procedures, and health/safety requirements.
· Cooperation and participation with other foremen when assigned to the same project.
· Notifies warehouse and supervisor of additional materials required.
· Review team timesheets on a weekly basis
· Strap down wires to framing in new construction setting.
· Knowledge of how to differentiate between different LV wires – Speaker cable, control cable, Ethernet, Coaxial etc.
· All knowledge from level I & II
· Meet at the office every morning on time.
· Assist in loading project materials into work vans each day.
· Use of PPE, hard hat, glasses, gloves etc. Steel toe boots
· Pull Wires through framing in new construction setting.
· Know which locations in the project require what kind of LV wiring (color and type)
· Differentiate between cable & color per location.
· Know how to correctly drill alarm contacts into windows & doors and the correct locations per project.
· Know how to independently run wires from Point A to Point B
· Make sure van is always stocked and has all materials to complete project.
· Make sure van gets all services in a timely manner.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with team leaders.
- Have and Maintain Safety Working practices.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Valid Driver’s License
- 3-4 years’ experience in the field
- Detail Oriented· Excellent note-taking skills and ability to retain detailed information.
· Willingness to improve and grow with company.
- At least 5+ years of Field experience performing LV wiring work.
· Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders.
· Crawling in crawl spaces and attics when required.
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
· Must be able to work at great heights.
· Ensure that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is always worn when visiting any work site.
· Strictly adhere to all safety regulations and rules while working at any location.
· Wear appropriate work boots both while on site and off site.

· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud when installation is in process. Employees will be subject to weather conditions, not limited to rain, wind and heat and cold. Employees are required to wear protective equipment (PPE) as assigned by their designated work area.
