- Entry level position, no experience is required.
- All training must be signed off by the appropriate leadership showing understanding and completion of training before the progression test can be given. Coworker referral must be scored minimum of 25 out of 30 before progression test can be given.
- Progression test will be given after 6 months of service and requires a score of 90% to be considered passing.

- New Hire Orientation and PEC Training
- Will receive training on Liberty PM schedules. Training will be provided on site from the Shop Supervisor and Lube Technician II in the first two weeks of service to include fluid types, what type of fluid each component requires, the proper way to perform the PM and items/areas of concern to be aware of, the different types of PM schedule, and at what hour interval they are performed.
- How to properly fill out all required paperwork for each PM. Training will be provided on site from the Shop Supervisor and Maintenance Coordinator in the first two weeks of services. Training will include all the appropriate forms and required fields to be filled out when performing a PM. Maintenance Coordinators will have to sign off on knowledge base before progression test can be given.
- Parts Department
- - Will be required to complete two days of cross training in the Parts Department to have a good understanding of part ordering, issuing, and their process. Cross training will be scheduled by the Maintenance Manager/Parts Manager and must be completed in the first month of employment. Upon completion of cross training, must be signed off by Maintenance and Parts Manager.
- MUST FOLLOW ALL SAFETY REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS.
- Must be able to explain the differences in the PM schedules.
- Ability to explain what fluid type is to be used in each engine, transmission, power end, drive box, small engines and the fluid capacity of each type.
- Identify all greasing points that are included in the PM Service for both trailer mounted units and tractors.
- Understand how to properly check u-joints and identify if they need to be replaced.
- To have basic equipment knowledge to include where battery disconnect switches are, the proper way to power up and down equipment, and has an understanding of starting procedures of equipment.
- To understand the proper way to engage power take off on a Tractor.
- To have base knowledge of key points on hydraulic systems and where major failures can occur if proper steps are not followed.
- To understand how to check fluid levels after a PM service. To identify which components are checked while running and which ones are checked in a no-run state.
- Must understand the proper procedures to dispose of used oil and filters.
