Job description
Orano Med is seeking a Logistics Specialist for radiopharmaceutical manufacturing at ATLab Indianapolis (“ATLab IND”), a new facility for commercial-scale manufacturing of sterile therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals.
The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating the movement of materials, products, and shipments to ensure efficient and compliant logistics operations. This role involves inventory control, shipping and receiving, regulatory compliance, and communication with vendors and internal teams to maintain smooth supply chain operations.
Shipping & Receiving
•Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
•Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and other required records.
•Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to ensure timely deliveries.
Inventory Management
•Monitor and maintain inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock.
•Conduct routine cycle counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
•Work with procurement and production teams to ensure timely material availability.
Compliance & Documentation
•Ensure adherence to all regulatory guidelines, including FDA, DOT, IATA, and other applicable standards.
•Maintain accurate records for audits and inspections.
•Implement and follow proper handling and storage procedures for materials.
Coordination & Communication
•Act as a liaison between suppliers, internal departments, and external logistics providers.
•Troubleshoot and resolve shipping or inventory discrepancies.
•Assist in developing and improving logistics processes to enhance efficiency.Work Other responsibilities as needed.

Ideal qualifications
Qualifications Required
Education
•Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
•Minimum of 2 years in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations, preferably in a regulated industry (pharmaceutical, medical device, nuclear, or similar)
•Familiarity with ERP systems and logistics software.
Qualifications Preferred
Experience
•Shipping radioactivity (any form): 2+ yrs
•Pharmaceutical manufacturing (any job function): 2+ yrs
•Shipping 10+ packages per day
•DOT 7A Type A Containers: Selecting, performing container tests
Familiarity
•Safety practices: occupational, laboratory, chemical, radiation
•Comfortable with quality systems: QMS, QA, GDP, SOPs, change control, document control, detailed documentation
•Experience in establishing procedures, KPIs, and monitoring them
•Proficient in Word and Excel software
•FedEx: shipping software (e.g., FedEx Ship Manager); personal connections; general familiarity
