Job Title: Logistics Specialist
Location: 2251 Silver Creek Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76108
FLSA Classification: Non-exempt
Position Type: Full time
Typical Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 4:00 PM
Saturdays- 7:00am - 1:00pm, as needed
Pay Range: $17.50 - $20.00 DOE
About the role:
Silver Creek Materials is seeking a Logistics Specialist to make initial contact with Beverage Recycling Customers, safely direct customers to the correct docking destination, count inbound/outbound trucks, ensure accuracy of paperwork, and ensure a safe egress for the customer. The Logistics Specialist will also perform tasks within the department as needed. This position reports to the Compost and Liquids Director.
What you'll do:
•Greet drivers and determine where their destination is; safely direct the driver to their destination.
•Perform flagging activities as needed.
•Assist in the placement, moving, and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices.
•Follows safety rules and regulations and monitor traffic.
•Respond promptly to customer or management needs.
•Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with customers and team members.
•Communicate with the Sales and Operations team as necessary.
•Direct customers and guests in a detailed, clear, and courteous manner.
•Learn product placement and recycling areas to better direct customers.
•Clearly communicate with Operators, and team members over multiple forms of communication. (Radios, email, phone, instant messaging).
•Accurately count inbound and outbound loads.
•Ensure paperwork is processed timely and correctly through Liquids Department Administration.
•Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
•A High School Diploma or equivalent education.
•One year experience in logistics, specifically shipping and receiving
•Ability to understand and maintain detailed shipping paperwork
•Ability to work with various personality and attitude types.
•Ability to memorize and recall detailed information.
•Self-motivated with a strong work ethic to exceed company and personal goals.
•Ability to navigate uneven ground surfaces.
•Valid Driver's License preferred.
•Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
•Must comply with background check and Drug-free Workplace Policy
•Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs.
