Job Overview
Logistics associates assist in the management of an organization's logistics systems. They coordinate the shipment and distribution of goods, inspect goods and materials, track shipments, manage inventory, and communicate with third-party services.
Responsibilities and Duties
•Assisting with the entire logistics process
•Maintaining accurate inventory of all incoming and outgoing shipments
•Accurately package finished goods with correct labels and packing material.
•Inspect products for defects and damages.
•Assist with keeping accurate inventory records.
•Prepare orders by pulling materials, packing boxes, and placing orders in the delivery area.
•Coordinate with all departments to fulfill specific and ongoing inventory and shipping needs.
•Maintain excellent service by following organization standards of quality.
•Ensure a safe and clean work environment including sweeping, emptying trashcans, emptying bailer, and restocking materials.
•Reviewing and verifying product details like price, weight, and other labeling essentials
•Aid in the use, cleaning, and preparation of heavy machines such as forklifts.
•Assist in receiving and unloading of inbound goods.
•Accurately record information using the company ERP system
•Ensure that incoming and outgoing inventory and shipments are as secure and well-organized.
•Assist other team members when needed to fulfill department needs and goals.
•Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements:
Qualifications
•Proficient computer skills
•High attention to detail
•Great communication skills
•Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods of time, and climb ladders.
•Experience using shipping systems (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, LTL platforms).
•Basic knowledge of shipping documents like bills of lading, packing slips, etc.
•Familiarity with barcode scanning and basic warehouse equipment.
Requirements
•Attention to detail and accuracy in labeling and order fulfillment.
•Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and shipping tools.
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
•Must be a team player with a strong, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
