Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. At Bourbon we specialize in Cajun/Creole Cuisine. All hourly employees, including kitchen, are tipped out. So you will always make more than your base salary. We are looking for someone able to work 4 10 hour shifts a week insuring you both have full time employment but also 3 days off per week.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the kitchen by assisting with food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and supporting the overall efficiency of the kitchen operations. This position is perfect for individuals with a passion for the food industry and a desire to contribute to menu planning and food service excellence.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for various dishes, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment and utensils are sanitized.
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality.
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Previous experience in a similar kitchen role is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
