Fleet Mechanic Foreman in High Voltage (T&D) Industry

We are looking to fill an immediate opening for a full-time Line Construction Fleet Mechanic, reporting to our Dagget yard in the Barstow area. Our fleet consists of approximately 175 Bucket Trucks, Digger Derricks, Pullers, Tensioners, Pole Trailers, pickup trucks and more. The fleet includes Freightliners, Internationals, Fords and Dodges. The right candidate must have extensive trouble shooting capabilities and skills to lead our team of mechanics in support of the fleet listed above. This opportunity will require approximately 50 to 60 hours a week, with occasional weekends when needed. Travel may also be required and may include overnight stays to support remote yards and field crews.
- Safety
- Order and receive parts required for repairs and maintenance
- Generate and maintain detailed records and logs of vehicle and equipment repairs
- Maintain clear communication with employees at all levels, including management and leadership team
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean shop
- Ensure that all mechanics are following required safety protocols
- Travel to job sites as required

- Previous and proven record of directing and leading team of mechanics
- Ability to lead and manage both people and workloads
- Must be able to prioritize responsibilities and personnel
- High level of capability to navigate all types of required diagnostic equipment
- Extensive troubleshooting knowledge required to support fleet of equipment
- Strong background in mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication.

- Ability to travel and stay overnight if needed.
- Driver's license required: Must possess and maintain a safe driving record
