THE POSITION
Keyera is currently seeking an experienced and professional Learning & Development (L&D) Advisor (Temporary) for a one-year term. The successful candidate can be situated at the Calgary or Sherwood Park office depending on their location. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and facilitating best-in-class learning solutions across a multitude of learning modalities, including face-to-face learning, digital learning, and user experience, while applying sound adult learning principles.
Keyera’s Learning & Development team provides comprehensive company-wide learning and development programs and resources (including culture, performance, compliance, and professional effectiveness) and multi-level leadership development programs (aspiring to executive-level leaders).
Responsibilities
•Develop leadership program content, including curriculum, facilitator guides, and reference materials.
•Determine the appropriate learning objectives and evaluation criteria upon which the programs will be evaluated upon completion.
•Apply the most effective learning methodologies to design training solutions, including instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, self-paced, eLearning, and social learning methods.
•Design comprehensive, fit-for-purpose learning solutions that support professional development, strategic workforce plans, role and leadership competencies, culture, safety, and business goals.
•Consider user experience in all design solutions that align with Keyera’s Values to enable a positive learning experience.
•Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions using a variety of delivery methods.
•Facilitate Keyera’s Leader Social Learning Network programs.
•Conduct comprehensive program evaluations to improve program design and delivery.
•Conduct and/or analyze training needs and competency assessments to develop new training or improve existing programs.
•Support the development of Keyera’s learning and development dashboard.
•Work closely with business leaders, HR Programs and HR Business Partners to support client-specific training and development needs.
•Contribute to the day-to-day operational aspects of projects, including proactively identifying and addressing potential challenges and risks.
•Develop and manage project plans, budgets, (L&D) reporting, and progress reports.
Qualifications
•5 years+ of professional experience in learning and development in the workplace.
•Formal education in Adult Learning, Instructional Design, or related discipline preferred.
•Strong understanding of adult learning principles, ADDIE design process, and learning technologies.
•Proven experience in developing and implementing leadership development programs.
•Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
•Experienced in course development and delivery using a variety of delivery methods.
•Proficient in MS Office, including advanced proficiency with PowerPoint design skills.
•Proficient in eLearn authoring tools such as Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise).
•Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and /or Learning Experience Platforms (LXP).
•Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
•Professional communicator that is flexible, detail-driven, with a proactive self-starter approach and exceptional time management and organizational skills.
•General experience in Human Resources, Organizational Development, and Performance Management is considered an asset.
•Project management and change management experience are also considered an asset.
•Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively in a team environment, contributing to the effectiveness and reliability of the team.
