Lead Technician - Shop Foreman

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Supervisor to oversee operations in our Fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of Fabrication management processes. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within established timelines. The Shop Supervisor will supervise staff, manage project schedules, and maintain quality control throughout the construction process. The ideal candidate would also have a background understanding of the Mining Industry.

Duties

- Supervise daily operations of the shop and ensure compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA standards.

- Oversee project scheduling and resource allocation using fabrication management software.

- Manage contracts and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely completion of projects.

- Conduct regular quality control inspections to uphold high standards of workmanship.

- Utilize tools such as Bluebeam for blueprint reading and schematics to guide project execution.

- Implement effective budgeting strategies and monitor expenses throughout the project lifecycle.

- Provide training and support to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.

- Utilize HeavyBid for accurate construction estimating and proposal preparation.

- Ensure all equipment is maintained properly, including the use of tools.

Requirements

- Proven experience in construction management with a solid understanding of project scheduling and budgeting.

- Familiarity with construction management software, including ProCore, Primavera P6, and HeavyBid.

- Strong supervisory skills with previous experience managing teams on construction sites.

- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

- Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively for project execution.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
