We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Project Manager and Estimator to oversee the planning, budgeting, and execution of structural steel projects from bid through completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring quality and safety throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating:
•Review architectural and structural drawings to quantify steel requirements.
•Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for materials, fabrication, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
•Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes.
•Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
•Present estimates and proposals to clients and internal stakeholders.
Project Management:
•Lead and manage structural steel projects from award to closeout.
•Coordinate with engineers, detailers, fabricators, erectors, and clients.
•Create and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
•Monitor progress and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
•Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and code standards.
•Prepare and manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and billing.
Qualifications:
· Hybrid Domestic Based role
· Resident or Citizen of the USA
· Established relationships with General Contractors and referral sources
· 3+ years of experience in structural steel estimating and project management.
•Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, erection methods, and industry standards.
•Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.
•Experience with estimating software (e.g., Tekla EPM, Bluebeam, FabSuite, etc.).
•Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
•Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
