About Us National Grid is hiring a Lead Engineer for our Substation Electrical Planning and Design department in Northboro, MA.

To support successful and on-time delivery of substation projects including supporting the capital investment plan, distribution and transmission interconnection projects, and other emerging work or new technologies. Substation projects include equipment replacement, asset separation, rebuilds and greenfield (new) substations.

Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

Qualifications

+ Substation Equipment including Transformers, Circuit Breakers, Disconnect Switches, Reclosers, Metal Clad Switchgear, Relay and Control Panels, etc. + Substation construction and maintenance techniques, Electric utility operation practices, + Preliminary Analysis including AC and DC sizing, Grounding and Lightning study analysis. + Knowledge of industry standards, safety standards and existing electrical design codes including IEEE, ANSI, NFPA, ASTM, NESC and Building Code

More Information Salary

: $150,000 - $176,000
