Lead Automotive Painter

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Lead Automotive Painter to join our restoration team. This role involves bringing classic and vintage vehicles back to their original glory through meticulous surface preparation to the application of specific techniques for unique finishes and a commitment to achieving a high-quality finish. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and takes pride in craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform all aspects of auto body restoration, prep and paint.

Use tools such as sanders and body hammers to reshape and repair vehicle panels.

Restore and fit body panels to factory or custom specifications.

Strip vehicles to bare metal and prepare surfaces for bodywork and paint.

Work with paint and prep teams to ensure proper surface finish before painting.

Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.

Ensure high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization in the shop.

Collaborate with other technicians and restoration specialists on full vehicle projects.

Understand and follow project timelines and customer expectations.

Requirements:

4+ years of experience in automotive restoration or body repair.

Ability to read technical drawings and restoration manuals.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and authenticity.

Own basic set of tools..

Valid driver’s license required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
