Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines to produce high-quality sheet metal components. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of blueprints, and the ability to perform quality inspections to ensure that all products meet specifications.
Duties
•
Operate laser cutting machines with precision and efficiency.
•
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications.
•
Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
•
Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance.
•
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
•
Utilize hand tools and press brake machines as needed for secondary operations.
•
Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
•
Proficiency in operating CNC laser cutting machines.
•
Experience with sheet metal fabrication processes.
•
Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
•
Strong skills in blueprint reading and quality inspection techniques.
•
Ability to use hand tools, lathe, and press brake machines effectively.
•
Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
•
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
•
Previous experience as a Laser Operator or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
