Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Programmer/Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team on the 1st shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming and operating sheet and plate laser cutting equipment with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. This position requires a solid understanding of technical drawings and specifications, as well as the ability to operate precision tools and machinery in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities:
•Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
•Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure accuracy in production. –
•+ Use and maintenance of precision measuring equipment such as ID and OD Micrometers, calipers, etc.
•Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
•+ Daily, weekly , monthly PM checklist
+ Work with Maintenance on major maintenance and repairs
•Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
•Maintain a clean and organized work area, always adhering to safety protocols.
•Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specified standards.
•+ First Article Inspection
•Maintain inventory of production related consumables
Qualifications:
Education, Skills and Experience* Ability to work 1st shift (8:00 am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday, Saturday 1/2 day )
•High School graduate or equivalent.
•Min 2 years programming lasers for sheet metal fabrication.
•Proven experience as a Laser Programmer/Operator.
•Strong mathematical skills.
•Able to communicate effectively both oral/written.
•Ability to read blueprints, understand GD&T including ability to write, edit and troubleshoot programs and machine issues.
•Excellent multi-tasking ability, attention to detail, critical thinking, and work with minimal Supervision.
•Ability to work overtime when necessary.
