Position Summary:
Drab to Fab is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Landscape Maintenance Lead to join our growing team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and high-quality delivery of our landscape maintenance services. The Landscape Maintenance Lead will perform all duties of a Landscape Maintenance Technician while also taking on crucial leadership responsibilities, including coordinating daily schedules with the Landscape Maintenance Manager and accurately logging all work hours for client invoicing through LMN Crew software. This position requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a dedication to exceeding client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Landscape Maintenance Technician Duties:•Perform a variety of landscape maintenance tasks, including:
•Mowing, edging, and trimming lawns and shrubs.
•Weeding, planting, and mulching.
•Installing and maintaining irrigation systems (sprinkler and drip).
•Fertilizing and applying pest control (as needed).
•Cleaning up debris and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
•Operating and maintaining various power equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers, etc.) safely and effectively.
•Identifying and reporting plant health issues, pest infestations, and irrigation problems.
•Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of work sites and equipment.
•Assisting with seasonal tasks such as leaf removal and planting.
Leadership and Coordination Duties:
•Collaborate closely with the Landscape Maintenance Manager to understand the daily and weekly work schedule.
•Effectively communicate the schedule and specific task assignments to the maintenance crew.
•Ensure the team understands the scope of work, quality standards, and any specific client requests for each property.
•Provide on-site guidance and support to team members to ensure efficient and accurate task completion.
•Monitor the progress of work and proactively address any challenges or delays.
•Serve as a point of contact on job sites for any immediate questions or concerns.
•Maintain a positive and productive work environment within the crew.
Time Tracking and Reporting Duties:
•Accurately and diligently log all work hours for each job site and task using LMN Crew software.
•Ensure all team members understand and adhere to the company's time tracking procedures.
•Verify the accuracy of logged hours before submitting them for invoicing.
•Report any discrepancies or issues with time tracking to the Landscape Maintenance Manager promptly.
Qualifications:
Required:
•Minimum of two years of experience in professional landscape maintenance
•Proven ability to perform all aspects of landscape maintenance to a high standard.
•Demonstrated leadership potential or prior experience in a lead or supervisory role is preferred.
•Strong organizational and time management skills.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and the manager.
•Proficiency in operating and maintaining various landscape maintenance equipment.
•Familiarity with time tracking software, preferably LMN Crew, with the ability to learn quickly.
•Valid California driver's license and a clean driving record.
•Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
•Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
•Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
•Social Security Number & ability to pass I9 verification
•Ability to communicate in basic English
•Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures, safety regulations, and professional standards
Preferred:
•Experience in landscape construction or installation
•Experience with irrigation systems (sprinkler and/or drip)
•Bilingual (English/Spanish)
•Qualified Applicators License a plus but not required
Physical Requirements:
•Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
•Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.

Compensation:
•Hourly pay: $25 - $30 per hour depending on experience.
