Description

The Heavy Maintenance Project Lead oversees heavy maintenance projects from the time of customer acceptance of quote to post-completion assessment of project results.
Job Responsibilities
•Assure compliance with the JF Petroleum Group behavior-based safety program.
•Assure compliance with all federal, state & local regulations and codes.
•Ensure site surveys are dispatched & completed in a timely manner (=3 days after receiving request).
•Obtain appropriate permits and licenses from state and/or local authorities.
•Validate the necessary equipment, materials, supplies and manpower needed per quotation & project scope.
•Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered, delivered and staged according to project schedule.
•Schedule subcontractors as needed in accordance with JF Petro Group preferred supplier list; initiate SPO requests; review subcontractor invoices and approve for payment.
•Creating job specific benchmarks for success by ensuring onsite lead/crew understand work scope as well as job progression.
•Train heavy maintenance technicians.
•Provide daily list of responsibilities/goals that meet schedule requirements for larger or more complex projects.
•Assure heavy maintenance technicians assigned to projects have the necessary skills to complete assigned work.
•Complete jobsite hazard analysis in accordance with JF safety program guidelines.
•Directly supervise heavy maintenance technicians to ensure efficiency and impact on project budget/profitability.
•Conduct site inspections to monitor safety, job progress, quality standards and work efficiency.
•Manage project expenditures for labor, equipment, material, supplies and subcontractors against project budgets.
•Ensure project deadlines are met; resolve any problems that may arise during project execution.
•Collaborate with project estimator, professional services, service manager, sales, service project manager, supply chain, and/or subcontractors to assure successful project execution.
•Keep the customer, salesperson, project manager, service manager and other stakeholders aware of progress through brief verbal or written updates.
•Conduct post-completion review of project quality & financial results with project estimator, service manager, and/or regional service director.
Requirements
•High school diploma or GED required
•Familiarity with retail fueling sites and dispensing equipment
•Work experience managing project budgets
•Knowledge of construction materials and equipment
•Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction or heavy maintenance preferred.
•Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership role with strong and proven leadership skills preferred
•Familiarity with ServiceMax & knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)
•Conflict resolution and conflict management experience
•Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask
•Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, including negotiation skills
•Must be able to meet company’s employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR.
•Physical Requirements: include occasional lifting/carrying of 10 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
