As we continue to expand our capabilities, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance and Facilities Lead to join our team and play a key role in supporting the daily operations and long-term sustainability of our production environments.
About the Role
This role is essential to ensuring our plants operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. The Maintenance and Facilities Lead will provide both strategic oversight and hands-on support for machinery, infrastructure, and utilities across both sites. This position is part of our department’s succession planning, offering significant opportunity for growth and leadership development within our organization.
Primary Responsibilities
•Deliver prompt and effective mechanical and electrical maintenance support across all production equipment and plant systems
•Oversee installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities to reduce downtime and ensure operational continuity
•Serve as a technical expert and mentor for team members, providing leadership in troubleshooting and repairs
•Support and enforce compliance with OSHA safety regulations, collaborating with the EHS Coordinator on continuous improvements
•Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance procedures, repairs, and system upgrades
•Author and implement facility maintenance policies and SOPs
•Coordinate with external vendors and contractors on projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and safety standards
•Lead the operation and troubleshooting of PLCs (ladder logic) and HMI systems
•Engage with company leadership to ensure maintenance initiatives align with production goals and facility needs
Technical Expertise Required
•Strong troubleshooting skills in industrial control systems, including: PLCs, HMI interfaces, sensors, relays, and 3-phase systems
•Solid experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as A/C and D/C drives
•Familiarity with automated industrial machinery, including motors, pumps, servos, and power transmission systems
•Ability to read and interpret both mechanical and electrical schematics
•Experience in installing and configuring PLCs and HMIs preferred
•Basic welding experience (a plus, not required)
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance software systems
General Qualifications
•Minimum 3 years of experience in a hands-on maintenance role with strong electrical control systems focus
•High school diploma or equivalent required; military technical training or vocational/technical school preferred
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
•Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including early hours, rotating Saturdays, and occasional off-hours to support urgent needs or critical operations
Schedule
•Standard hours: Monday – Friday, 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM
•Rotating Saturdays as needed
•Availability for off-hours, weekends, or holidays in case of emergencies or critical system support
