Velit Services is looking for a motivated new staff as an experienced crew member. We a commercial landscape company offering landscape maintenance, irrigation, storm water, snow and ice, lighting and more.

Job Description:

*Work on a crew of 2-5 people *Mowing of turf, edging, line trimming, blowing, pruning, weeding, and basic weed control spraying *Assist with snow & ice operations in the winter (Plow Trucks, Equipment, Sidewalk Crews, Salting Trucks, Etc.) *Complete daily electronic work orders *Complete equipment maintenance and safety inspections *Washing of trucks and equipment as needed

Job Requirements:

-Minimum of 2 years of verifiable landscape maintenance experience (Commercial Preferred)

-Ability to currently operate all grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively (You must be able to currently operate stand on commercial mowers with little to no training- You will be observed in an interview).

-Must have reliable transportation to and from work

-Good communication skills and be professional

-Follow all company safety and procedure policies

-Be on time

-No smoking on sites except in select areas and time, no smoking in vehicles, etc.

-Must be able to lift up to 75lbs when needed

-Able to work outside in all weather conditions throughout the year

-Ability to Adhere to company safety requirements and other policies and procedures

Summary

As a Landscape Crew Member, you will be essential in maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through effective landscape maintenance and lawn care. Reporting to the Landscape Maintenance Foreman, you will utilize your core skills in landscaping and groundskeeping while applying your premium mechanical knowledge to operate equipment like excavators and hand tools. Your strong communication skills will facilitate teamwork and ensure tasks are completed efficiently. By leveraging your relevant skills in tree care, irrigation, and gardening, you will contribute to creating beautiful and sustainable landscapes for our clients.
