The Land Intern will work under the direction and training of a Senior Landman to gain a more in-depth understanding of daily projects associated with Continental’s assets. The internship requires knowledge of basic petroleum land management principles and will provide the opportunity for collaboration with office and field employees to enhance land management education.
In addition to a summer project, the Land intern will have the opportunity to:
- Review lease files and title opinions for ownership determination and curative matters
- Prepare well set-ups for submittal to lease records and division order groups
- Prepare contractual briefs of exploration agreements, unit agreements, etc.
- Work with Lease Records, Division Orders and Land Systems for basic understanding of Quorum (land database) and SAP (Accounting)
- Strong customer focus and a team player
- Current enrollment in a four (4) year College or University
- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management related degree with Petroleum Land emphasis
- Eligible to work permanently in the United States upon graduation
- An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
