Tourmaline Oil Corp. is a Canadian senior crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company. We are focused on long-term growth through an active exploration, development, production and acquisition program in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
We are currently looking for a Land Accountant/Payouts Administrator to join our team on a full-time basis in our Calgary office.
Key Responsibilities:
•Prepare, track, and manage detailed payout statements, including regular updates throughout the year and comprehensive annual reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely distribution to all stakeholders.
•Administer and process the coding, payment, collection, and invoicing for land open invoices and manual land invoices.
•Maintain and routinely review land vendor records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
•Assist with monthly land-related accounting entries, account reconciliations, and various tasks as part of the month-end close process.
•Coordination with the Land department to ensure accuracy and efficiency in land-related financial processes.
•Provide ad-hoc support and backup coverage during team absences or vacation periods.
Description of Candidate:
•4-5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably with JV/Land accounting experience.
•Industry experience in oil and gas accounting, specifically related to payouts.
•Previous experience using an accounting software, including experience with EnergyLink, Landrite and Accumap would be an asset.
•Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
•Strong team player with a proactive, collaborative mindset
•Have worked independently in high volume and fast-paced environments.
•Strong attention to detail and highly organized
