The Key Accounts Representative receives and processes customer orders,
inquiries and/or complaints covering items or products ordered. Maintains an ongoing relationship
with selected customers and sales staff. Uses knowledge of products, product availability, sales
territories, and individual customers to provide a key communications link to the customer.
Typically requires analysis, judgment, and sensitivity to customer needs and demonstration of
high-level product and process knowledge. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Provide customer service assistance to
the department for commercial and industrial customers to identify and resolve issues concerning
customer's accounts. Analyze, track and adjust contracts and billed incentives for rates and
Commercial and Industrial customer's programs. Manage records to meet audit requirements for new
and existing rates and programs. Initiate and follow-up on service orders, review accounts for
program eligibility which includes sales tax exemption/reduction, special rates, and contracts
status. Research customer accounts and provide detailed consumption, demand, copayment history
and create spreadsheets.
Review customer accounts based on project-specific criteria and contact
+affected customers regarding finds; update and adjust accounts accordingly.
Generate corrected/duplicated bills as required, calculate/determine appropriate rates, verify,
update/ process electric and gas contracts and determine contract status. Perform other duties as
assigned.
Must have a valid Tennessee state or residence.
high School Diploma or General Education Development (G_E.D.)
EXPERIENCE Minimum of 4 years' experience in Customer Service, Customer Accounts and
Records, Commercial Resource Center or Credit Operations.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Must have in-depth knowledge of Division Operations/credit
policies/procedures
for commercial & industrial customers. Must have proficiency in data entry/ computer software
applications and Customer Information System (CIS). Must have an occupationally significant
combination of job knowledge; verbal/written communication skills; ability to relate to people in
order to motivate and direct employees and resolve customer disputes, leadership ability analytical
ability, problem solving and decision-making abilities; customer relations skills; resource
management skills; integrity; and abilities in working as a team and promoting safe work practices.
Works in office majority of time and occasionally makes field visits.
