Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical junior candidate as part of a small team of 3 people looking after Letters of Credit, Bid and Performance Bonds for mainly Crude Oil, Refined Products and Metals. Ideal for someone looking to learn about Trade Finance including Letters of Credit and Receivable Discounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Risk management and daily monitoring of counterparty exposure against credit limits.
- Exposure to Accounts Receivable Discounting, Supply Chain Finance, and some structured trade finance products.
- Processing bank fees and reconciling bank account versus internal records.
- Full training will be given to become fully conversed with the all the latest rules and regulations governing Documentary Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Bid and Performance Bonds, Collections, Reimbursement Undertakings and Electronic Letters of Credit.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in treasury, finance, or a related area.- Strong time management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to communicate clearly and precisely with internal trading desks and external banks and counterparts.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment; able to meet short deadlines and be comfortable with making decisions and learning new skills quickly.
- Genuine interest in commodities and broader financial markets.
- The expected base salary ranges from $70K -$90K. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
