Bay Line Construction is currently seeking to hire a Junior Project Manager based in Georgetown, DE to manage electric utility construction projects.
- Successfully drives all aspects of project management of a project from inception to completion, ensuring that it is strictly delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Identify and prioritize project opportunities and manage programs to mitigate any identified risks
- Manage relationships with the client, suppliers and subcontractors, as well as internal teams
- Schedule and/or attend all preliminary meetings with developers/clients within assigned district to review plans and gain understanding of expectations; request any additional utility prints
- Collaborate with internal team to review all project documents and information provided by a client/developer to determine job estimate requirements
- Communicate upcoming awarded projects and requirements with Operations and General Foreman to ensure projects are meeting the expected schedule
- Create and distribute expected timeline with outlined milestone goals to Crew Foreman
- Communicate estimate totals and project invoicing with Operations and General Foreman for update on internal WIP
- Participate in internal schedule and required Project Meetings
- Lead jobsite walk down meetings with Crew Foreman and effectively communicate expectations and risks
- Prepare material orders and assist with procurement of materials for assigned projects
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation; including but not limited to - maintaining active locates, tracking of materials, footages, man hours, milestone goals etc.
- Ensure appropriate availability and allocation of resources
- Monitor project safety and perform weekly safety audits, verify job briefings and safety tailgates
- Work closely with equipment suppliers and clients/developers to ensure on schedule completion and compliance within the company’s quality standards
- Successfully drive all aspects of project management from inception to completion, ensuring that it is completed on time, within scope and within budget
- Bachelor´s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or other relevant field, or 2+ years’ experience in the construction of related projects
- Preferred- Previous project management experience in the construction of large utility projects
- Familiar with Project Management Principles
- Preferred- PMP Certification
- Working knowledge of MS Project and MS Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
