JR. PROGRAM MANAGER

Southwestern Manufacturing Inc. operates in a competitive global market producing wide ranging metal based assemblies and components across a variety of industry sectors including but not limited to Mining, Oil & Gas, Crane and Drag-line Components, Agricultural, Machine building, and Heavy Equipment Manufacturing.

Project management responsibilities include delivering every project on time within budget and scope. Project managers should have a background in business skills, management, budgeting and analysis. Project managers are skilled at getting the best out of the people and projects that they oversee. They thrive when planning projects and working with project teams.

Southwestern Manufacturing Inc. is seeking (2) permanent full-time Jr. Program Managers to start as soon as possible. (minimum of 40 - 55 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

Coordinate internal resources for the flawless execution of projects

- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

- Develop project scopes and objectives, and ensuring technical feasibility

- Ensure resource availability and allocation

- Develop a detailed project plan to track progress

- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques

- Report and escalate to upper management as needed

- Manage the working relationship with the client

- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

This role does require some travel, extra hours and some weekend work dependent on workload and customer needs.

Requirements:

- An educated background, preferably in the field of manufacturing

- Understands reading blueprints

- Working experience as a project administrator in the manufacturing sector is an asset

- Excellent customer service skills

- Motivation and passionate personality in sales and marketing

- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

- Strong working knowledge of the current Microsoft Office suite

- Desire to grow in your career
