Safety
•Ensure safe work systems/procedures are always practised and adhered to ensuring duties are performed in a manner that minimises risk to self, employees, and contractors.
•Always maintain exemplary standard of housekeeping, safe work, incident/accident reporting & active involvement in safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
•Abide by and proactively comply with Company policies, procedures, guidelines, and systems, as well as all relevant legislation.
•Understand and familiarise oneself with site Emergency evacuation procedures.
Company / Leadership
•Display conduct which is aligned with company Core Values, Policies and Procedures.
•Initiate and provide input into company directives in collaboration with the Site Management team.
•Communicate department obligations and conditions to the leadership team, ensuring specific understanding and accountability.

•Support and follow all lawful instructions/directives from direct supervisor.
•Maintain a high level of professionalism and take responsibility for own conduct and behaviour in the workplace.
•Ensure good, clear lines of communication between all stakeholders, including the Site Management team, co-workers and contractors
Knowledge / Skills / Duties
•Understand and work within guidelines of the OESC and M421
•Ensure electrical equipment is installed and operates according to Federal, Provincial, Municipal and Company Standards
•Ensure high voltage safety equipment well maintained
•Troubleshoot using both single line and detailed electrical prints
•Maintain, troubleshoot and repair underground communications
•Review and troubleshoot instrument control logic and ladder diagrams
•Undertake preventive maintenance processes to identify future work required
•Mentor apprentices at all stages through their apprenticeships
•Assist new employees/contractors until they are familiar with equipment and surroundings
•Provide input into possible equipment improvements both to save cost and reduce maintenance downtime
•Accurately complete all required documentation and affix his signature to work performed

•Work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals – both within own department and site wide
•Leverage off and use the talent and knowledge within the team to resolve problems.
•Share gained experience and knowledge of work in progress
•Attend and participate constructively in daily line-ups, safety meetings

•Prioritises and completes tasks accurately as to specifications as assigned by direct supervisor within expected timeframes.
•Proactively identifies and addresses hazards before they arise as issues.
•Be punctual to work and all required site meetings.
•Undertake other duties as lawfully instructed

•Current Red Seal in the Trade
•Underground Common Core Certification

•Willingness and ability to teach and mentor apprentices, new employees and contractors
•Experienced and comfortable working at heights
•Legible writing skills – needed for work order documentation, reports, 5 point cards etc.
